Bloomingdale Christian Church has resumed all in-person services, including Sunday School and the regular worship service at 11:00 am. Nursery, beginner's church, and KidzLink are available during that time as usual. Our staff has been and will continue to be diligent in disinfecting and cleaning the church.
Regarding Governor Whitmer's Executive Order 2020-147 "Masks," under Section 2i, officiants of religious services are exempt from the requirement, as are children under age 5 (Section 2a). Section 6 of the order stipulates that there will be no penalty for individuals that remove a mask to engage in religious worship. For the full text of Executive Order 2020-147, click here.
For those who still do not feel comfortable returning to a public service, we will continue to livestream the Sunday sermon at 11 am on Sunday morning; the livestream can be found on our Livestream page.
Audio recordings of the sermons are available here. Please check regularly for further updates.

WHAT THE TRUE CHURCH IS
The true Church consists of God's people, those individuals who have place their personal faith in Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (John 1:12; John 3:16; Ephesians 5:23-27). Such individuals have "received the word" concerning Christ (Acts 2:41) and are referred to as members of the body of Christ, members of God's family, or simply as Christians. Within this true Church is the local church, which is an assembly of professed believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, who are mostly living together in the same general area. They meet together in His name for baptism, the Lord's supper, worship, praise, prayer, fellowship, testimony, the ministry of the Word, discipline, and the furtherance of the Gospel (Acts 13:1-4; Acts 20:7; I Corinthians 5:4-5; I Corinthians 14:26; Philippians 4:14-18; Hebrews 10:25; I Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5).
